Entrades Parc Güell Barcelona: guia de visita

Tot el que cal per planificar la visita al Parc Güell: entrades, horaris, què veure i consells per reservar.

Què és el Parc Güell i per què reservar amb antelació

Park Güell is a public park designed by Antoni Gaudí on the hill of El Carmel in Barcelona. It was commissioned by the businessman Eusebi Güell and built between 1900 and 1914. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it combines nature, architecture and Gaudí's organic forms. The monumental zone (main square, staircase, column hall, paths) has limited access and requires a timed ticket; the rest of the park is free. So if you want to see the most iconic part — the salamander, the wavy bench, the columns — you need to buy Park Güell tickets in advance. Capacity is limited to around 1,400 visitors per hour to protect the site.

Què inclou l'entrada del Parc Güell

With your Park Güell ticket you get access to the monumental zone: the dragon staircase (salamander), the room of a hundred columns, the square with the trencadís bench and the paths and viewpoints. The visit is self-guided within your time slot; you can stay as long as the rules allow. Some tickets also include the Gaudí House Museum inside the park. Other options are guided tours in several languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French). Prices include VAT and vary by ticket type and date.

Què veure a la zona monumental

In the ticketed area you'll find the dragon staircase with the famous trencadís salamander; the room of a hundred columns (actually 86 columns supporting the upper square); the nature square with the 100-metre-plus wavy bench covered in mosaics; and the porticoes and paths with nature-inspired shapes. The views over Barcelona from the square are spectacular. The Gaudí House Museum, optional with your ticket, displays furniture and objects designed by the architect.

Normes d'accés i aforament

Park Güell limits visitor numbers in the monumental zone to protect the surfaces and structures. You must enter within the time slot on your ticket; if you arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of that slot, you may be refused entry. Picnicking is not allowed in some parts of the monumental zone; there are picnic areas in the free part of the park. Pets may be allowed on a lead in the free zone; rules in the monumental zone may be stricter. Always check current rules before your visit.

Com comprar entrades del Parc Güell

Park Güell tickets are sold mainly online via the park's official website and authorised providers. It's best to book several days or weeks ahead, especially in peak season, at weekends and on holidays. When you book you choose your day and time slot; you must arrive within 30 minutes of the start of your slot or you may lose your right of entry. The ticket is usually sent by email in digital form; have it on your phone or printed to show at the entrance.

Horaris i durada de la visita

Park Güell's hours vary by time of year (winter/summer). The monumental zone opens in the morning and closes at dusk or nightfall. A typical visit to the monumental zone lasts one to two hours; add about half an hour if you also visit the Gaudí House Museum. The free part of the park has longer hours. Always check current times for your date.

Ubicació i com arribar-hi

Park Güell is in the upper part of Barcelona (Gràcia/Carmel). You can reach it by metro (L3, Vallcarca or Lesseps, then walk or use connecting buses), by bus (lines that go up to the park) or by taxi. The main entrance to the monumental zone is at the top; there are slopes, so wear comfortable shoes. On hot days, bring water and sun protection.

Consells per a la visita

Combinar Parc Güell i Casa Batlló

Many visitors combine Park Güell and Casa Batlló on the same day or during their stay — two of Gaudí's most famous works in Barcelona. The park is in the hills; Casa Batlló is in the Eixample. You can book tickets for each separately; some sites offer packages or discounts for several monuments. On this site you'll also find guides for Casa Batlló tickets, Casa Batlló opening hours and Casa Batlló at night.
